FREDucator Awards

 

Inspired by the book "The Fred Factor", by Mark Sanborn, Mrs. Rodriguez and three students honored teachers who make the ordinary extraordinary every day.

Honored were 7th grade math teacher Betsy Bellinger, 7th grade science teacher Lisa McCaffree, and Leadership instructor Mark Moore.

 

 

Sgt. Moore, you are a fantastic teacher!

You make a difference:

You have made me more responsible.
I don’t get into as much trouble as I used to.

You’re exceptional:

You are always  nice and you do your best to teach us about how to fight for peace and how to be great citizens.

Your job is important:

You help children learn to respectful and responsible.

You have a kind heart:

You are kind and you treat every one with respect.  You do not think that you are better than everyone else.

You make education seem “valuable:”

You tell your students, “you need an education in order to get a great job.”

You show innovation:

You are always giving us lessons that are unique and easy to understand

 
 

 

Mrs. Bellinger, you are a wonderful teacher!

You make a difference:

You have made me better in math.  You helped me like and understand math.  If I need help, you are willing to give it to me.

You’re exceptional:

You do brain breaks and math games with us.

Your job is important:

You teach students something that they will be doing their whole lives.

You have a kind heart:

You show each and every one of your students the same respect that you would want us to show you.  You understand when we need a little extra help on a worksheet.  You do your best to keep us busy with math.

You make education seem “valuable:”

You take your time and you do a good job of teaching us math.  You stay on our case about how to take notes.  You give us “the talk” about how if we stay in school and go to college we can be and do whatever we want.

You show innovation:

You do games with us that are really fun and have a lot to do with math. 

   

Ms. McCaffree, you are an amazing teacher!

You make a difference:

You changed my perspective about science just by the way you taught me and how helpful you were when I needed you.

You’re exceptional:

When you were trying to get us to understand something that we didn’t understand, you would keep trying until you were sure we got it.

Your job is important:

You give people something that will help them make it through life: an education.

You have a kind heart:

You never got tired of teaching or helping us.  You would always be right there with us when we were having conversations and you understood how we felt if something was wrong.

You make education seem “valuable:”

You make science fun.  You also explained how your education helped you through your life.

You show innovation:

You would explain the labs to us but they sounded really boring.  Then, when you started the lab and showed us how to do them, we always had fun!
